VCA Type Approval Engineer on-site
Millbrook offers a full Type Approval service, our long-standing test capabilities being complemented by experienced certification specialists. Millbrook is recognised by the UK Vehicle Certification Agency, and authorities in many other countries, as a test site for worldwide Type Approval and Certification.
Changes to Type Approval processes for trucks and buses, including body builders, means many organisations are exposed to Type Approval for the first time. Millbrook is here to help.
As a basic requirement, the client provides the necessary vehicles, parts, and specifications, as identified by Millbrook, who in turn furnish all the necessary expertise and test resources to obtain full Type Approval.
If required, Millbrook can act as the manufacturer's representative, thus relieving the client of the need to attend the various technical meetings associated with the Type Approval process. Where appropriate, the use of the Low Volume Type Approval schemes may be negotiated, to lower costs.
Where manufacturers have sufficient in-house capacity to undertake some of the functions detailed previously, Millbrook will act in partnership with the client to meet their additional needs.
As well as offering a full Type Approval and homologation support service, we can manage all witnessed test programmes. This means that all of the administration of organising test slots and witnessing authorities are taken care of by us leaving you to concentrate on other things- a true 'One-Stop-Shop' for all your vehicle testing and Type Approval needs. The level of support will be tailored to your needs.
Onsite Vehicle Certification Agency Presence
With a VCA Type Approval Engineer based on the Millbrook site, we can provide fast booking for witnessed tests with preferential access given to Millbrook managed test programmes. Through this liaison Millbrook's Type Approval experts are in constant touch with the VCA for interpretations and notification of future requirements.
