Wheelchair Testing
Millbrook is at the forefront of wheelchair transportation testing, having over ten years experience in this field. Our HyGe Sled Laboratory, accredited to ISO 17025, conducts over two hundred tests each year and have developed excellent working relationships with many global wheelchair restraint suppliers.
Our HyGe Sled is capable of carrying out two wheelchair tests at the same time, which not only saves our customers money, but also ensures complete repeatability of tests and a direct comparison of results.
Millbrook have the latest in high speed digital camera systems, which provide instant guidance on pass/fail and enable rapid retest possibilities. If more detailed analysis is required, we also have an ultra-compact TDAS G5 camera, the next generation of data acquisition equipment. This can be mounted to any part and offers extreme flexibility in enabling us to monitor any instrumentation channel.
Millbrook staff provide technical support to wheelchair standard committees which provide insight into future standards.
We provide crash testing to all of the standards shown below: -
- ISO 10542 Parts 1-5
- ISO 7176 Part 19
- ISO 16840 Part 4
- ANSI/RESNA WC-19
Our Wheelchair testing facility is also capable of offering bespoke testing to meet specific requirements.
