Facilities Engineer- High Voltage Systems - Battery Test - Propulsion

Job Summary

Reporting to:  Propulsion Facilities Manager

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide all technical support for Millbrook Engineering team preparing Propulsion Facilities to perform tests activities according to customer requirements
  • Provide corrective and preventive maintenance on HV systems of a batteries testing laboratory
  • Conducts investigations and prepares reports to support investigations on HV electrical systems
  • Identify failures and suggest modifications to testing equipment
  • Elaborate procedures for electrical connections from batteries and energy accumulation devices to power supplies
  • Assure all instruments are calibrated and generating reliable data
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook staff at all times




  • BSc in electrical disciplines
  • (MSc in the automotive or electrical field would be an advantage)
  • (17th/18th Edition Electrical Training would be an advantage)


  • Must have experience using wiring diagrams and harness drawings
  • Experience with HV electrical system
  • Experience Instrumentation including thermocouples and pressure transducers
  • Should be familiar to test beds main controls including PID tuning
  • (Battery testing environment familiarity is desirable)
  • (Automotive background is desirable)


  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills mostly when handling large amounts of data
  • Electrical cabinets and typical components knowledge
  • Ability to utilize HV diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and clamp meters with best safety practices
  • Aptitude to repair mechanical,  pneumatic and hydraulic systems
