Job Summary

Reporting to the CFO, this is an opportunity to lead Millbrook’s International Finance Function in supporting the business’ growth as a subsidiary of Spectris plc.

Role Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of Finance Team across Millbrook’s international operations
  • Full ownership and understanding of all financials
  • Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Ongoing Balance Sheet control and review
  • Ensuring that the business meets all weekly, monthly and year-end internal and Spectris Group reporting deadlines
  • Working with Senior Manager, Business Planning & Analysis to manage annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting process
  • Enforcing strict adherence to financial controls
  • Continually improving financial processes, including system improvements and reporting. Devising and implementing change across the business to drive efficiency
  • Accountable for the compliance of financial statements with Spectris Group Accounting policies, IFRS and relevant tax law
  • Day to day liaison with Spectris to support ad hoc Group requirements
  • Supporting the integration of acquired entities, both in the UK and overseas
  • Adhoc requests for Senior Leadership team
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook staff at all times


Essential Criteria


  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 10+ years post qualification experience


  • Experience of working within a medium size international organisation, reporting into a larger Parent Group
  • Experience of working in a similar role is essential
  • Systems experience, including working to improve system-based reporting and operating practices. A working knowledge of MS Dynamics is preferred (but not essential)
  • Used to working with and advising senior management

  • Full UK driving license
  • SC clearance or ability to achieve this (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)
