HR Administrator

Location: Bedford, UK
Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week or job share

Job Summary

Reporting to: Senior HR Business Partner.

Undertaking general HR duties and being the first point of call for all staff. You will have the ability make an impact on the business by providing strong administrative support to the HR team.

The role can either be a full time position of 40 hours per week or a job share.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all new starters are processed through BPSS referencing
  • Updating staff records on the HR Management System
  • Booking staff medicals and appointments with Occupational Health, and maintaining the medicals tracker
  • Removing leavers from the company systems
  • Ensuring that staff transfers are completed
  • Checking invoices from agencies against dynamics and charge sheets
  • Management of training budget, booking courses, maintaining training records
  • Support the Apprentice Programme
  • On boarding of new starters
  • Conduct HR inductions for new starters
  • Issue welcome announcement for new starters
  • Co-ordinate main induction event
  • Management of the extra milers process
  • Management of the probation process including maintaining the tracker
  • Conduct exit interviews and record data
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Supporting the HR Team with administration tasks
  • To provide reception cover where required
  • Filing of staff paperwork
  • Updating the HR skills matrix
  • Take meeting minutes as required by the team
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook staff at all times

Essential Criteria

Qualifications

  • Good general level of education

Experience

  • Previous administrative experience ideally within an HR environment
  • Experience of working within a fast paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Fully proficient in MS office
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Strong team player
