Job Summary

Reporting to - Manager Crash Operations

  • Mechanically preparing crash test vehicles and execution of full scale crash tests.

Role Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicles for crash tests to customer requirements
  • Manufacture frameworks and brackets for High Speed Cameras and Data Acquisition
  • Mechanical fitting of brackets for on-board cameras
  •  Liaise with Millbrook Crash Engineer
  • Full scale crash test execution
  • Liaise with Customers
  • Work from procedures
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook staff at all times

Essential Criteria

Qualifications

  • Craft/technician apprenticeship
  • City and Guilds – Mechanical or Vehicle Engineering (preferred)
  • Relevant experience will be taken into consideration

Experience

  • Experienced in a vehicle workshop setting
  • Welding and fabricating
  • Technician role in a mechanical test setting

Skills

  • Robust mechanical fitting skills
  • Welding and fabrication
  • Ability to follow written procedures

Personal Behaviours

  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good team player
  • Good communication skills

Other

  • Flexibility to travel as and when required
  • Prepared to work shifts and overtime
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required
  • Full UK driving licence
  • SC clearance or ability to achieve this (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)
  • Willing to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check
