Job Summary

Millbrook have recently acquired CSA Leyland Technical Centre a test service facility in Preston and are recruiting a Senior HR Advisor to provide HR resource to our new site.

This exciting opportunity will provide huge scope for the right individual to develop the role, working closely with the HR Director to integrate this recent acquisition. Taking initiatives to develop and grow internal relationships, shape the culture and work hand in hand with local management.

The Senior Advisor will have broad experience in various areas of expertise including, recruitment, performance and talent management, disciplinaries, grievances and absence management.

Role Responsibilities

  • Act as point of contact for employees and managers in the business unit
  • Managing the full recruitment process from requisition to offer across the business.
  • Maintaining an accurate database of vacancies and candidates to enable accurate reporting and monitoring
  • Responsible for promote Millbrook as an employer of choice
  • Working with Universities and Schools to promote the apprentice, undergraduate and graduate programmes
  • Assist with employee relations issues
  • Provide advice, support and guidance to managers around disciplinary, performance management and absence management
  • Drive talent management across the business
  • Manage HR projects
  • Act as performance improvement driver
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook staff at all times

Essential Criteria

Qualifications

  • Full CIPD preferred but will consider part qualified with right experience

 

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a generalist role
  • Experience of in-house recruitment for a variety of roles – interviewing and testing in a fast paced environment
  • Experience of using LinkedIn as a recruitment tool
  • Experience of working remotely in a standalone role
  • Managing absence
  • Managing and manipulating data
  • Employment Law
