Job Description

Reporting to – Head of Transactional Finance

A Finance Apprentice is required to join a small but busy UK finance department. The company is one of Europe’s leading independent technology centre’s for the design, engineering, test and development of automotive and propulsion systems, and is expanding rapidly into new geographies.


Role & responsibilities
  • Accounts payable invoice processing/ approval chasing
  • Assisting with supplier payment processing
  • Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
  • Reconciling direct debit accounts
  • Assist with Balance sheet control & reconciliations
  • Support Sales invoice team at month end
  • Assist with accounts payable adhoc reporting requirements
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook staff at all times

The Apprenticeship will provide you with core accounting knowledge and skills needed to progress. Upon completion of your apprenticeship you will be able to continue your professional development with Level 3 AAT and beyond.


Person Specification

  • To have 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science at grades C or level 4 and above (required)
  • No experience required but an interest in finance and business is essential

  • Monday – Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm, 40hr per week with ‘attendance’ to College
  • The post holder will need to hold or be in application of a full UK drivers licence
  • Own transport or the means to get to and from work is essential as public transport is not available
  • Working Environment office
  • SC clearance or ability to achieve this (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)
  • Willing to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check
