Job Summary

Our Vehicle Team have an opportunity for a skilled Technician/Senior Technician (depending on experience). The successful candidate will work within a highly skilled Engineer and Technician team to deliver a wide variety of vehicle and component performance and durability testing.

Reporting to – Department Manager

Assist delivery of the planned Vehicle Department workload by working with Engineers and taking direction and instruction from the Department Manager and Senior Engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Environment & Security:

  • Ensure appropriate PPE is being used at all times in designated areas
  • Ensure H&S procedures & processes are being followed
  • Ensure appropriate security measures are being used in the labs
  • Maintain housekeeping to high standards

Customer service:

  • Work with Engineers and Supervisors to meet/exceed customer expectations
  • Ensure all work is to the highest possible standards
  • Report any problems immediately to the Supervisor

Technical excellence:

  • Maintain training to perform assigned tasks
  • Build test rigs and prepare test samples, monitor testing and complete test logs
  • Maintenance and upkeep of equipment
  • Accurate collection and validation of data to prove integrity
  • Installation and set-up of instrumentation
  • Develop best working practices
  • Interface with high pressure hydraulic rig mains

Compliance:

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Comply with appropriate ISO procedures

Human Resources:

  • Provide training to others when requested

Financial performance:

  • Develop initiatives to reduce waste and optimise efficiency
  • Liaise with Supervisor to ensure targets are met

General:

  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook employees at all times
  • Lead by example

Person Specification

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to follow written instructions/ work requests
  • Good understanding of H&S practices

Other:

  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required
  • Full UK driving license
  • Willing to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check
