Relief Security & Emergency Response Officer (No SIA licence required)
This is a six month fixed term contract, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent.

Shift Pattern: Successful candidate will complete 2 weeks of training Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. On completion of training, you will be working a minimum of 160 hours per calendar month, covering various shifts as a relief officer to support absence and holiday in the team.

Job Description
Reporting to: Customer Service & Security Supervisor – Security Department
This position requires a security & Emergency Response professional who is able to maintain high standards of performance, discipline & appearance and in addition possess a proactive approach to security.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Protection of Company premises, assets & personnel
- Providing administrative support as required
- Providing Emergency response cover to the site, using relevant equipment & training including Breathing Apparatus
- Welcoming Guests & providing a positive Guest experience
- Monitoring & authorising entrance & departure of employees, guests & other persons to guard against theft & maintain security of premises
- Completing reports of daily activities & irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons or unusual occurrences
- Inspection & adjustment of security systems, equipment & machinery to ensure operational use & to detect evidence of tampering
- Answering all alarms & investigating disturbances
- Conducting searches of personnel & vehicles
- Providing cover of main switchboard & Radio control during non-standard hours
- Act in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC colleagues at all times
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Good standard of education
- SIA Licence preferred not mandatory
- First Aid at Work Certificate preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided
- Fire trained preferred
Core competencies:
- Previous security role
- Experienced in a customer-focused role

- Having a basic knowledge of IT using Microsoft Office packages
