Job Description

This is an opportunity to lead Millbrook’s UK Finance function during an exciting period for the company having recently joined forces with UTAC CERAM.

The combined group is a market leading vehicle testing & homologation service provider, with a strong focus on emerging technologies for autonomous, connected and electric vehicles.

The group has major facilities in the UK, France, the USA and Finland, with a new facility opening in Morocco in 2021.

Role & Responsibilities

Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for Millbrook including consolidated reporting for Millbrook entities

  • Responsible for the management and development of the UK finance team (team of 8)
  • Meeting all weekly, monthly and year-end internal and group reporting deadlines
  • Accountable for the compliance of financial statements with Group Accounting policies, IFRS and relevant tax law
  • Preparation of subsidiary accounts for external reporting
  • Ongoing balance sheet control and review
  • Continually improving financial processes, including system improvements. Devising and implementing change across the business to drive efficiency
  • Support Millbrook’s internal audit programme using expertise to enhance business controls and processes
  • Enforcing strict adherence to financial controls
  • Providing guidance and support to Millbrook’s non-UK finance teams
  • Supporting annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting process
  • Adhoc requests for senior leadership team
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook staff at all times 

Person Specification

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 5+ years post qualification experience
  • Strong reporting experience, including as part of a larger group but experience of other reporting environments also of interest (eg Private Equity ownership)
  • Team management
  • Systems experience, including working to improve system-based reporting and operating practices
  • Used to working with and advising senior management
  • Strong technical accounting background
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Solid communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
