Our automotive undergraduate placements offer students the opportunity to take responsibility, apply learning and grow as a professional within our dynamic teams.

Millbrook is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. We believe in enriching the academic modules taught at university by applying learning directly to our workplace and enhancing students’ understanding and awareness of its application to industry.

Developing Skills and Experience

Our undergraduates are value-adding members of the team, whose creativity, knowledge and skills are put to the test on real-life projects. We offer a variety of automotive engineering undergraduate courses across the business, including within the following departments:

  • Propulsion testing
  • Safety testing
  • Vehicle and component testing
  • Event venues

Our annual “End of Scheme Showcase” provides our undergraduates with the opportunity to exhibit their achievements to Millbrook’s leadership team.

Training and Personal Development

We provide relevant technical training required through shadowing, coaching and on-the-job training. During undergraduate placements, we support students’ personal development through a structured mentoring programme. HR and the management team are also on hand to liaise directly with universities as required.

Applicants should be studying towards a relevant degree and have the desire to apply their theoretical knowledge to the workplace.
We recruit undergraduates who will provide the commitment, teamwork and flexibility required to exceed our customers’ expectations.
Our undergraduate placements start in June or July and continue for 54 weeks. Some departments look to extend placements up to 14 months; however this is based on individual performance and business requirement.
All Millbrook employees must be willing to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and SC level security clearance may be required for some roles within restricted departments.
