Millbrook, the leading independent test, validation and engineering service provider to customers in the automotive, transport, petrochemical, defence and security industries, will showcase its extensive capabilities within the industry at Fleet Management Live on 6 – 7 October.
Since Millbrook became independent in December 2013, it has invested significantly in a number of facilities and personnel in order to increase its capabilities, capacity and commitment to providing technical excellence to its customers, prospects and the wider automotive industry.
Facilities that have recently been upgraded at Millbrook include; all 12 engine dynos, a new ServoSled within the Crash Department and further investment in its Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS) which enables the business to gather real world emissions data that can then be correlated to testing on Millbrook’s chassis dynamometers.
Millbrook has also made a number of changes to its leadership team, with the aim to drive forward change, improve customer service and increase the productivity of its expanding business.
The exhibition will provide an opportunity for visitors to learn more about Millbrook’s flexible events facilities; four blank canvas venues with access to 70km of exhilarating tracks making it the location for automotive events, as testified by the fact that Company Car in Action celebrated its 25th Anniversary at Millbrook in 2015.
Fleet Management Live comes at an exciting time for Millbrook, having acquired the world’s most northerly proving ground, Test World, based in Ivalo, Northern Finland earlier this month. Test World has unique and versatile facilities, including specialist tyre testing capabilities and a range of winter tracks. Test World has indoor facilities for both objective and subjective testing of winter tyres on real snow throughout the year, reducing time to market for tyre manufacturers. Test World’s facilities are available to customers for independent testing, as well as providing test services and type approval work to its global customer base.
Alex Burns, CEO of Millbrook says: “Millbrook has an unrivalled reputation within the fleet and commercial vehicle sector for repeatable and reliable test and validation, both in laboratories and on our unique test tracks, which include hill routes, high speed areas, snow and ice tracks and challenging off-road courses.
“We are looking forward to showcasing our work within the sector at Fleet Management Live and to exhibiting our combined Millbrook and Test World capabilities at the exhibition.”
