MAD 5K Challenge Returns to Millbrook

MAD 5K Challenge Returns to Millbrook

On Tuesday 30 June, the infamous MAD Challenge will return to Millbrook, the leading vehicle test, validation and engineering service provider, for the fourth consecutive year to raise money for Help for Heroes. The challenge, also known as the MAD 5K, will see competitors from all areas of Millbrook’s business, as well as friends, family, customers and suppliers take on the grueling 5 kilometer course set in the proving ground’s 700 acres of challenging terrain. From sinking sand and wading ponds to steep hills and uneven gravel, the course will put runners through their paces, as returning racers hope to beat their times from last year’s event and raise more than £5,000 for Help for Heroes. Julian Bryan, Head of Military Test and Development at Millbrook said: “Since the MAD 5K challenge began at Millbrook in 2012, we have raised more than £12,000 for Help for Heroes. With 200 runners expected to take part in this year’s challenge we’re hoping to add another big chunk of money to this pot in 2015. “As one of the largest employers in Bedfordshire, Millbrook is always keen to involve its staff and partners in exciting activities that help build strong relationships and support charities.”
